Every excuse (or reason) to drink the dram, or at least to use the stuff is good... This excuse is named "cooking with whisky".
"SUNSET" MUSSELS
gathering mussels at Gortontouge between May and August, you cant beat it! The sun on your back, barefoot in the sand scrambling around the rocks to see who can collect the most then taking them home to cook in a splash of wine and some garlic and scoffing them up with big chunks of bread. Then finishing off this perfect day with a wee drop of Bruichladdich 15y, fantastic.

After frying some chicken fillets in plentiful butter, remove them and let them rest for a while.
Add some more butter to the fryingpan and at one fine cut onion and 10 to 15 fine chopped mushrooms. After 2 minutes add a half pint of water and let it cook down. Bind with some flour. Take the fryingpan from the fire and at 5 to
10 tea-spoons of Bowmore 12 years.
Stir for 5 minutes and let the alcohol evaporate.
